[Big Jambox] Charging using the Micro-USB Cable

Hey guys,

I bought a Big Jambox in the states but I'm unable to use the Power Adapter in Europe (I have to look for a converter), will it work to charge the Big Jambox via USB for the next couple of days/weeks, it doesn't matter if it takes longer but will it work in general?

Yes, charging through the microUSB port works, but it is very slow. In my test, I connected the microUSB to an iPad charging adapter (because it supplies 10 watts). In 12 hours, the Jambox went from about 1/4 full to about 3/4 full. It would probably take an entire day to charge a dead Big Jambox.
