BIG JAMBOX FIND ANSWERS QUICKLY! |
|

I got my Big Jambox on Friday and charged it first thing. Once fully charged, it paired immediately with my iPhone 4S and worked beautifully! Great sound and seems to function completely. Love the speakerphone.
However, I cannot get the Big Jambox to pair with my iPad (1). The iPad searches, and occasionally sees the device, but then always comes back with a message saying that pairing was unsuccessful.
I've reviewed some of the related posts here, and rebooted, etc., but no luck so far.
Ideas?
Thanks.

The Big Jambox would not connect when I first plugged it into the USB port built into my monitor.
Then I tried directly into the Macbook Pro.
Then I deleted and replaced the Jawbone Updater.
Then I restarted Safari.
Then I plugged in the power adapter.
Then I unplugged the USB.
Now it will not even turn on, at all.

I had some issues getting my iPad 1 and friend's iPad 2 connected as well. What worked for me is this: first put the Big Jambox into pairing mode, letting it be in that mode for 10-15 seconds before going into the Bluetooth settings on the iPad. That worked for me. HTH

Actually, I received an e-mail from Jawbone support directing me to specific instructions on pairing. It took me a few days to get to try it, but it worked like a charm. Pretty simple, and much the same as your tip. My original problem was that I was not engaging pairing mode, but just turning on the power and looking for the connection. Sometimes it would appear, but then fail. But pairing mode did the trick. Go figure! ![]()
Thanks.

Good to know that it was just a RTFM issue. ![]()

Have tried pairing to iphone and ipad....no problem. Try my MB Pro and it says connected, then drops the connection. Have tried with my wife's MacBook and get the same response. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Geo

You know what, I have the same problem too. But I can't even connect my Big Jambox to my Macbook Pro. It says it does not have the proper blah blah to connect. With my iPad and iPhone I have no problem, just the Macbook pro. Hopefully they would update the firmware so it can connect to the macbook pro.

Did you already update to the latest OSX version (10.7.4)?
I had the same problem that was completly solved by this update!
Succes, Jochem
