Re: MyTalk

Ditto here - new Big Jambox. Awesome device, loud as anything, works fine BT and direct connect to a couple of devices, rattled the windows in the kitchen when I had it cranked.

Plugged it into MyTalk to check for an update and set settings, and MyTalk won't see it.

Mac Mini, Lion, Safari. Deleted the Jawbone Updater app and reinstalled it, still won't see the Big Jambox. It's 100% charged, powered off, and I get the red blinking ring when I plug in the USB.

Do I need to have the power adapter *and* USB plugged in with it powered off? The charger is in another location from the Mac, so I'm just plugging in over USB without being plugged into the power adapter. I *think* that should be okay but I guess let me know if I need that or if there's something else I should check.

Re: MyTalk

Hmm. Can't edit my post so I guess I'll have to follow up. No sooner than I posted this, it started working. Oddly, I brought up the "About..." box in the Jawbone Updater, and when that window displayed, it showed a Big Jambox connected, and the MyTalk immediatly kicked off working. It's like Jawbone Updater saw the device but it didn't tell MyTalk what it was.

Re: MyTalk

How can such a simple process as plugging in a device on a mac and having it recognized be so difficult?

My talk does not recognize my regular jambox speaker. The faqs provided are inadequate in that they offer a couple of approaches and then dead end. This all started for me because the ridiculous product would not consistently function paired with a macbook pro.

Re: MyTalk

I am having the same issue.  New Jambox new out of the box...and it shows that it is connected to my computer via the menu item (Mac OS 10.7.3) but it never connects via MyTalk.  I am so frustrated...any help would be great.  I have done all of the "tips" and nothing is working.  I have tried different computers...different cables...to no avail.  :catmad:

Re: MyTalk

Ok, here's another one that can't connect to MyTalk.  I have a PC running Windows 7.  I have tried all the various troubleshooting steps to no avail.  MyTalk will not find my Big Jambox.  My computer installed drivers when I first plugged it in, and it shows up as a removable disk on my computer, so the computer is recognizing it but mytalk will not.  Thanks for your help.

Re: MyTalk

sadrand,

Is it turned off when you plug it in? That is what happenned to me.

Turn it off, plug into USB, leave it off. Make sure the Jawbone icon is black.  Open MyTalk and see what happens.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled the updater before pluggin the jambox back in.

Also, make sure it is fully charged before all of this.

That's as far as I can get you so I hope it helps.Sorry if it doesn't.
