Pairing button problems

Hi all, I am curious if there's been anyone else that has had thier pairing button break. After having mine for just a couple weeks I noticed that the pairing button felt a little different and something under the rubber had broke, making it unble to pair with a different device. I was disappointed, sure, but Best Buy exchanged it no problem...and I wouldn't have thought anything about it except that my brother bought one about a week after I did and just now his experienced the exact same problem. So know I am concerned for the possibility that it's a poorly designed switch. If there's many others that have had the same issue, I think I'll return it before my window closes. It'd be a pity for sure cause I definitely prefer it to the Bose.

Re: Pairing button problems

Hi, I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I've only pressed the pairing button around 10 times and today I tried using it and it felt strange and no longer works.

I agree that it seems to be a design flaw and I'm also returning mine. I hope they fix the problem because it's a good sounding unit but without the pairing button - it's a nice looking paperweight!

Re: Pairing button problems

Oh my goodness. I have the same exact issue. My pairing button is now just mushy and does not click and engage pairing. Jawbone, what can I do about this? I will gladly exchange it for a replacement.

Re: Pairing button problems

This is disconcerting, indeed, but sadly not unexpected. It would've been one thing if it were only my brother's cause he's known to be hard on stuff....but I'm pretty **bleep** about my gadgets. I'm extremely worried that it will happen with my replacement. So far it's ok. While I would never wish any bad luck upon anyone, I hope there will be others to chime in as I feel this is a design/manufacturing flaw. You know the say about the squeaky wheel is the one that gets fixed... :-/

Re: Pairing button problems

Unfortunately, I had this same issue, called and within 5 minutes they had a new one overnighted to me. Great support experience! Thanks Jawbone.

PS - I'm very careful with this device and have only paired 3 or 4 times so this is a very troubling manufacturing issue. Hopefully the new one holds up better.

Re: Pairing button problems

I am also having the same problem.

The button just doesnt feel the same and never prompts to connect a device.

I have emailed support about the issue for a fix.

Thanks,

Re: Pairing button problems

I'm in the same boat.  Contacted customer support via chat and they were very helpful.  I am expecting my jambox will be replaced under warranty.  I am fearful that this will happen again, as I have only minimally used my jambox.

Re: Pairing button problems

I am also going through the RMA process to get my unit replaced. I hope the design of this button has been fixed as like many people with this problem I had my unit for a very short time before it failed (1 month).

I hope my replacement lasts quite a bit longer or I may have to look for a better built replacement. Unfortunate because the month I had it I used it every day.

On another note I am glad I restored my iPhone as new or I may have not noticed the fault until I was out of warranty. Although I would hope Jawbone would replace a product with a known fault regardless.
