AVRCP update available???

Hi,

I'm considering purchasing the Jawbone ERA or ICON or something comes in the future.

At this point, ERA seems great but there is no way to access next/previous track from ERA.

(I'm considering ICOS so that we can at least access play/stop from itself, right?)

I just wonder if it is possible that the AVRCP profile of ERA (or ICON) can be upgraded by the software update in near future.

(I don't even know whether it is software or hardware matter.)

If it is hopeless, I would choose something else.

I would prefer to recieve some advices and technical informations.

Hi MasaYan,

Unfortunately Jawbone Era or Icon does not support AVRCP.

Re: AVRCP update available???

Thanks for your replay.

Let me ask related question wich is what I really wanted to ask previously.

The ICON HD can play and stop the music so I think it has functionarity of AVRCP ver1.0.

My question is:

Is it possible to update AVRCP to higher version so that ICON HD can skip and back the music tracks by the future software update through MyTalk?

The following the request/suggestions:

Jawbone Era has motion sensor so that we can add several different actions (e.g. tap, double tap, triple tap, and so on) and I hope it enable user to play, stop, skip and back the music tracks.

Re: AVRCP update available???

Hello!! I am using two ERA. Although a motion sensor is the technology in which even the how much outstanding technology should be able to be used more at present, it does not seem at all that development is made. Naturally, or it should probably mount AVRCP immediately, he would like to refer to as it replace with ICON HD, or it will be visible also to ? and such advertisement. If AVRCP has been mounted at all by how much outstanding ICON HD which does not become a talk if soft mounting has not been performed even when it is hard and it is possible for it to be soft and to correspond, you should correspond immediately. It will abandon, if it seems that it does not correspond and there will be no technology in Jawborn, and all the devices are thrown away. In this which does not understand whether it can respond and which it has become if it can respond flexibly in soft, but has not changed at all for the moment, support is too severe. Sincerity is expected. Thank You.

Re: AVRCP update available???

Hi everyone,

Thank you for writing in, we truly appreciate your interest in our products. Currently we do not have plans to add AVRCP capabilities to the Icon or Era headsets. The Icon HD is the only one of our headsets that does support AVRCP. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

Re: AVRCP update available???

Thanks for the direct response. The answer is clear and what I wanted.

I really need the functionality which I suggested previously, so in that sense I have to consider something else.

But again, thanks for the clear response.

I appreciate it.

Sincerely,

MasaYan
