I just had this happen to me.... Was working fine.. Fully charged but was not pairing with my IPhone... Usually all I do is hit the main button, but this time nothing. So I turned the Era off... Turned back on and NADA..... I have tried a reset, holding talk button down, everything I I have read on tbe web.... Still nothing. Lights are on, it blinks while charging, goes to white when fully charged.... But no audio, beeps, or anything...
This was a gift only a few months old... Have only just started using it.
I would think that with all the comments below on the same subject that something would be easily available here of all places.....

Me too.  This is my second ERA, the first one was easy.

Got this one home and charged.  Then nothing.  No pairing, no lights, no ..............

Soft reset done, multiple times.

I am having same issues! My jawbone will charge with red light flashing then turning white. I unplug and nothing at all! Tried the soft reset method, but no luck! Please someone help!!

I am having a very similar issue. Plus my jambox wont hold a charge.

If you ERA won't light up or pair and is making odd noises-- please contact Customer Support at 1800-JAWBONE, between the hours of 6 am-7pm PST. Our Support team will help you troubleshoot or discuss warranty options.

My ERA seems completely dead. I love the Jawbone products but having trouble with it. First people would say it was hard to understand me, then it wouldn't come on any longer. now no lights when charging, wont turn on, etc...
