I recently bought a Jawbone ERA shadowbox, retail boxed. most of the time it sounds great. There are occasionally times when the other party says i cut out and sound very "robitic" like.
I have updated to the latest software online on myTalk, and have people in my TTS setup addressbook. Is this a known problem? perhaps my unit is defective? Someone let me know please.

Have you tried a soft reset?

I am convinced all of these types of issues have to do with the Noise Assassin technology being on and the rubber contact not being in constant contact with your face.
If you have noise assassin off, it doesn't matter, but if it is on, teh contact to yoru face is so very important. losing the ear loop helps to keep the unit on your face.

I've noticed this especially with voice dial. If the rubber contact is not constantly touching my face the voice dial will misunderstand me. I just adjust the position of the ERA and the problem seems to clear up.
