Headset is connected, but not selected when answering calls iPhone 4s

My ICON HD is connected to my iPhone 4s, but when I answer calls, I must manually switch the audio source to use the Jawbone each time.  Shouldn't it default to the headset (like other BT headsets I've used) or am I missing something here??
