Anyone else have problems after ICON firmware update?

Updated ICON to latest software and firmware; using it with iPhone 4. Worked amazing and flawless before.

Absolutely HORRIBLE after the update. Note I have also updated iPhone OS, but had same problems before iOS update.
Staticy. And it is the ICON. Not the phone, not the person I'm speaking with. And the phone is not in the next room, usually breast pocket.
Voice-dial no longer recognizes names accurately, for example, one person's first name is "Iain" (with an "i" at the start) - unconventional but previously saying it as "Eye - A - N" worked fine.
Now if I say "Call Eye - A - N [lastname]" I get responses like "no music is playing"??!!
Often a l-o-o-o-o-o-n-g delay between pressing talk button on ICON, hearing "voice dialing" then hearing confirming "beep" to speak. Used to be
(push)"beep" -"voice dialing"-"beep" about 2 seconds, now it's like
(push) "beep" [1-Mississippi 2-Mississippi] - "voice dialing" - [1-Mississippi 2-Mississippi 3-Mississippi 4-Mississippi]  "beep"
Sometimes refuses to activate when receiving a call unless I choose "Jawbone ICON" on iPhone screen (prefer not to do at 75 MPH!). I did touch the call button to answer the call, but no sound comes through.
Have re-paired several times, reset iPhone etc. The previous JawBone 2 did not have these issues!

Re: Anyone else have problems after ICON firmware update?

I may have answered myself, as there were some other tips I put all together...

in the MyTalk settings try these

1) simultaneous connections "off"

2) A2DP "off"

3) in call press n hold "noise assassin"

Also went back to original voice dial Voice

everything seems okay for now, at least based on a few brief tests.

Re: Anyone else have problems after ICON firmware update?

As a follow-up; no it didn't.

I bought it when it first came out and it was flawless, until the MyTalk.

I believe the original firmware update that gave us the thrill of "MyTalk" has rendered the Icon far less useful and reliable than previous models. Why else all this Forum talk of turning "off" features from MyTalk to fix issues like echo, noise, low volume etc.

The pat JB answer is "call Jawbone" so you can wait for someone to tell you how to "un pair" your iCon and how to reset it. Of course I should've just sent it in but now as its out of warrantee I'll probably go back to just holding the phone. I could try another headsets but if Jawbone - who used ot be the best - is turning out products like this then why bother?

And on a related not - of COURSE the new "Type C" earbuds do not fit the Icon....

Re: Anyone else have problems after ICON firmware update?

I just noticed that - like most Americans - I am so complacent I have had this problem for over a year. Isuppose if nothing else it fixes the time (thanks Jawbone) from hence I have had problems. Maybe I will call after all, as I can at least "prove" that while inder warranty the iCon was not working.

I just realized, I like it better spelled that way, more illustrative of th eproduct "iCOn"
