ICON FIND ANSWERS QUICKLY! |

I am having a good overall experience with my jawbone Icon, except for one problem. I don't know how to have it tell me who is calling according to how I have them listed in my phone. Instead, it only tells me the phone # that is calling. I bought this device for just this purpose. When I am at work, I cannot be looking at my phone to see who is calling.
Can anyone help me to figure this out, or if it is even possible with this device. Thanks.

I have the same problem. Did you get a solution? I want the person's name to be announced with Caller ID rather than the phone number. When the jawbone is not in use, my phone announces the name. What do I need to change so the same thing occurs?

Hi Chris223 & Annae301,
Unfortunately the ICON does not have the ability to say names from a cell phone's caller ID. The ERA is the only one of our headsets that has this capability. Sorry for any inconveniences!

Is this a firmware/software issue or a marketing issue?

Hi everyone,
Please see my above comment about caller ID capabilities. Again, only ERA has the ability to say full names.
Let me know if you have any additional questions,

That doesn't answer my question. it could be that the Icon "doesn't have the ability" because you don't let so i have to buy an Era.

Thanks Ochkarik. Looks like a great solution. It's still anoying to haved to pay five and an half bucks for somethihng that should have come with the headset, but it's still a lot cheaper than an Era.
I'm still not convinced this isn't just a marketing scam. If we can do it thru third party apps I don't see why Jawbone can't do it via firmware. But then who'd buy the Era?
