I think they need to get rid of the Mytalk app and come up with a local solution to update the Jawbone, i.e a program that can be downloaded and run on the user end without the need for internet connection and dealing with firewall.
I tried to update the Jawbone Icon 4 times and install diffeferent apps. I used, IE, Firefox, and Chrome, turn off my firewall, and can never get Mytalk to work correctly. I am surprised I did not brick the ICON with so many failed update. The sync would never get past 4%. I had to reset my ICON several times and one time I could not even reset it. I had to download CHROME just to restore it. Even then the restore failed at 51% but the ICON is functional again. Trying to install different greeting voice and mytalk failed AGAIN. Again I had to restore and it only got to 51% but the ICON was somehow factory reset and working again.
Basically at this point, forget about the Mytalk program. It is not ready for primetime and cause more trouble than it is worth.
