Beeps too loud !

Beeps too loud when pressing volume buttons it is an very annoying. I read there is no option to lower or

kill this noise. Are there any plans to fix it?

Re: Beeps too loud !

True! The same is true for all system sounds (turning on is extremely loud when you plan to listen in a quite surrounding!). Please have that system sound setting volume available in advanced edit. troxx

Re: Beeps too loud !

You can keep minus button pushed down when turning Jambox on to hear no beep. But that's just a workaround. System wide setting for quieter system sounds or off altogether would be a real service as the device is touted as sotfware updateble - now use that possibility, Jawbone!

Re: Beeps too loud !

The Jambox experience is primarily an aural one. How it makes us feel will be based on how it sounds.

It therefore should not make loud, unpleasant noises when we use it.

Especially -- and this one blows me away -- not when we change the f---ing volume. We already have tactile and aural feedback (the song gets louder or quieter), we don't need additional aural feedback on top of our music.

How did you guys get this wrong? It's as if no one with taste & power actually used the thing before it went into production.

I can't believe your company would overlook details like these in the Apple age.

The Jambox is a great concept with a great commercial by Adam Lisagor that seduced a lot of buyers.

But you dropped the f---ing ball on execution with all these jarring UI sounds.

When a better competitor comes along, whatever temporary market advantage you've discovered will be stolen from you by people who realize 'attention to detail' and 'user experience' are concepts with measurable effects on your balance sheet.

One more thing. The audio latency is noticeable, making the Jambox unusable for applications involving visual synchronization (video playback, games, etc). It only works for music. Now that I think about it I can't believe I still use the thing!!

Re: Beeps too loud !

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately we do not have a way to decrease the beeps when pressing the volume buttons, but we do have a solution for muting the voice prompt and putting the JAMBOX in silent mode.

1) To Turn the JAMBOX on without sound, press the Minus (-) button and then switch the unit on.

2) You can go to the advanced settings on MyTalk to disable voice prompts.

Turning "Voice Announcements" to the OFF position will disable voice prompts for battery status, pairing, and other voice announcements from your JAMBOX.

Hope this helps!

Re: Beeps too loud !

That's a good start but you just told us that even though Jawbone made the hardware and software you can't remove beeps on volume change. Unbelievable.

Re: Beeps too loud !

I would like to add a +1 to this. Please fix this issue and add the option to disable all system sounds. The only thing I want to hear coming out of the Jambox is music. :-D
