Jambox Buttons-Problem

Hello, I'm from Germany so don't wonder if I make grammar mistakes :smileyhappy:

I recently bought a Jambox from Ebay, there is no warranty for it anymore.

Updates worked properly and it caused no problems and anything was fine.

But then I had to realize, that there is a very ridiculous problem

I don't know how to explain but - the buttons switched (?!) I don't know wether the problem caused due to the update, I didn't tested before

The Talk Button works as Volume Up, The Volume Up Button works as Talk Button (wtf)

I tried to perform a hard reset -> wait until it blinks white, then press 6 times the talk button and when its red press talk button for a while. -> but it doesn't worked..

Now I'm helpless, I hope there is a solution out there in your country of endless opportunities *grin*

Thanks :smileyhappy:

Re: Jambox Buttons-Problem

I dont think that the issue is the update, it sound like the top rubber has been removed and put on the wrong way around so that the rubber buttons are pressing the incorrect tabs inside. Simply pull the top rubber cover off, and rotate it 180 degrees refit it carefully and all should be fine.

Re: Jambox Buttons-Problem

Is there a way to remove the case without damaging it?

Maybe a guide which describes how I have to do this

Re: Jambox Buttons-Problem

Its not hard. Grab an edge of the top rubber where it meets the mesh grill and pull it outwards. It will come away easily. Work around the edges releasing the top from its guide slots. Once it is off you will see it can just be replaced the correct way around. No need for tools of any iind and it will not damage the unit. It is how they were originally assembled!
