Re: Jambox : How to reset to Factory Settings

Hello,
We offered me a Jambox for Christmas.
I managed to connect it to my iPhone the first day.
Then I connected it to my macbook by bluetooth, no problem.
Then I wanted to connect Jambox to the computer of my brother ( an imac) by bluetooth always.
I am thus go on the site MyTalk of Jawbone to remove of the list of the connections of my Jambox my ihpone and replace it by the imac, because the jambox can register(record) no more than 2 "machines" at the same time.
For this day I can no more re-connect my iPhone to Jambox. During the attempt of appareillement it is written on my iPhone " failure of connection. Assure you that "JAMBOX by Jawbone" is switched on and in reach".
Can you help me to connect again my iPhone to my Jambox please.
PS: I did well the update Jambox on the site.
Thank you for your assistant, I do not really know what to make.

Hi Mat21, I have an easy fix for you. When you went into MyTalk you removed the pairing with the iPhone from your Jambox so, even though it shows the Jambox on the phone, you're no longer paired to the phone. Go into your Bluetooth settings on your iPhone and click the blue arrow to the right of Jambox by Jawbone and then choose Forget This Device. Once it's gone put the Jambox into pairing mode by holding the On/Off switch all the way up until it says 'Jambox in pairing mode'. Back on your iPhone you'll see 'Jambox not paired'. Click on that and it will connect back up.

The Jambox can actually be paired with up to 8 devices so you don't have to worry about removing any of the pairings. It can only be connected with one device at a time however (2 in multipoint) so you'll have to disconnect it from one device (not unpair) before connecting it to another. Disconnecting is as simple as turning off the Bluetooth on the iPhone or clicking Stop Using Jambox on the iMac under your Bluetooth settings.

Hi smhyden, I'm sorry to hear you're having syncing and sound issues with your Jambox. There are different things that cause sync failures. If you can let me know what percentage the sync is failing at, I can give you some ideas to try to get it up and running. As far as the sound distortion issue, in what situations are you getting distortion? Are you connected through the audio cable or over Bluetooth? If you're connected with the audio cable you'll want to set your source sound to a high level and then adjust the Jambox to the desired loudness. It can distort in that situation if you turn it up to high though. If you're connected through Bluetooth you'll want to make sure the Jambox is within 33 feet of the source in order to get the best sound.

Let me know what percentage the sync is failing at, and I will try to better understand the situation.

I am having issues downloading the update for my jambox as well.  I am using a Windows 7 Home Premium with a  64-bit operating system. My sync fails at 4%.  Please Help!

Hi darreljc32,
The first thing I would recommend is to try another computer. If you get the same issue then give us a call at 1800-JAWBONE 6am-7pm PST and one of our MyTalk specialists can help you troubleshoot this further.
