How has this feature not been implemented yet? It'd be so simple! Just create a sound profile what has these sounds blank. I don't need to know when I've turned on the Jambox (a light tells me this on the power switch), and I don't need to know when it's turned off with a loud audio noise. I don't want to have to hold down a button while power on/off.
Please. Please. Please, just provide an option to disable all unnecessary sounds!

This is another simple option and shocking this too hasn't been implemented already.
I guess after purchasing and signing up for this "board" I don't see too much acknowledgment so I don't who how useful this is for a company to open a forums for sugestions and feedback but then see nothing from your posts.

The loud sounds are also very irritating to me as well. I use my Jambox in an office environment because even at extremely low volumes I get good sound quality out of it. But the UI sounds are jusy way too loud. Not all can be shut off by holding down buttons.
There are a lot of suggestions here on how to address this issue, making it configurable through the website and so on, but I really think there's a simple solution to this.
When the Jambox powers on, it knows the last volume setting of the device. Simply make all the UI sounds adhere to the current volume setting. My device is always at a very low level, UI sounds playing at that same level would be perfectly acceptable (and expected) to me.
A configuration setting on the website to turn off all UI sounds would be nice (pairing is the only thing that usually requires some user notification, and that's also done via the LED ring).
This box wasn't cheap, and I sadly can't use it for the two purposes I purchased it for, solely because of these jarringly loud UI sounds.
Easy firmware fix, please! ![]()

I agree with everyone else. Great device, really happy with it. I find the power-up, shut-down, and volume change alert sounds to be way too loud and would like to simply have to option to shut them off completely. I will sound like a jerk here, but it reminds me of the cheap kitchen appliances on the market now that beep and buzz alerts for anything and everything. I find it insulting and tacky, to be honest. Jambox is too cool for that IMO.

Just want to bump this thread again for the same request -
thank you JawboneEmma for the "Hold '-' " when powering up/down, that is a life saver in my office environment, howerver please take this back to your MyTalk Firmware team:
-Please add the ability to control the volume of the 'Beep' produced for physical key response when pushing vol up/down
(as stated already, the system UI volume is too loud - imagine pressing the volume down frantically to reduce the volume while in the office, only to have "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP" play away extremely loud while you're attempting to reduce volume)
-Please add a fully silent 'profile' to be set from MyTalk where there are no sounds or feedbacks other than the blinking LED on the power switch
(this makes sense for all the other suggestions put forth. ie using the jambox to put your kids to sleep, using it while traveling or camping etc - all you want is music, not intrusive artifical beep-ing and bloop-ing)..
Still, I waited too long to finally own one and I'm glad I got it, please make these software fixes!
Regards, Tesh

Just purchased the Jambox in Apple's one day sale. The operational tones e.g. volume up and down are too loud. I'm excited that you can apparently update firmware. I wasn't so excited to find this issue has been oustanding for a year. I do value your hints on holding '-' on start up and shut down but I'd like to be able to permanently turn those sounds off in settings. Anyway, I will PM JawboneEmma as she requested but I just thought I'd note here in this public, ever increaseing list, my +1 request for a resoulution.
