Jambox startup and shutdownn volume

This thread has many requests for volume reduction, but here's another idea which may not require any programmers.

An easy solution, which may be very simple for Jawbone to produce, is to create a personality (set of sounds for actions) using very brief sounds.  We can then flash these to our Jamboxes via Jawbone's MyTalk site.  Each sound should be brief, close to a "click" sound but without being percussive with a hard attack at the beginning (like a drum rimshot), and possibly only 1/2 second long. (~500ms)

In addition to a "brief sound" personality it would be great to also have "completely silent" and "nearly silent" personalities:

1. Completely Silent - for all indications (startup/shutdown/pairing stauts/volume change/etc)
2. Nearly Silent - omits sound for everything except blutooth pairing status messages.

Yeah. Like +1000.  I kinda like the beeps if they weren't so **bleep** loud.  Same with the cute voices. Personalities are cute but TOOGODDA(*)()*&NLOUD.  Why do they have to shout at you? 

The settings panel you have on MyTalk should have some 'announcement & sounds volume setting' slider where you can set it. It'd be simple and easy.

Or failing that the really good 'semi-workaround' suggestion made that a different version of the announcement personalities was made available at low volume so I could choose "bombshell-quiet" instead...

The voices are too loud, jarring and annoying. I also request that an option be added to advanced settings to persist disabling of all voices/sounds.

Pressing the "-" button during startup works for those who only want to occasionally disable these sounds. I NEVER want to hear them (or the loud beeps for that matter) and find it annoying that I have to remember to hold down the "-" button everytime I turn it on.

Hi Fek,

If you go to MyTalk's Advanced Settings to disable voice announcements, it will turn voice announcements off and on, based on what the you selects.  It is on by default.  If you sync the JAMBOX with MyTALK and turn the setting off, you will need to sync the JAMBOX to MyTALK again if you want to turn it back on.  

This settings turns off VOICE announcements, but button tones and ring tones will still be on.

These sounds are the most annoying "feature" of any gadget I have ever purchased.  Why would anyone want these noises simply when turning on, off and raising and lowering the volume.  Need fix to disable.  Please.

I have just received my Jambox and am quite annoyed by these beeps.  This device was bought largely to use in a bedroom and these sounds are much too intrusive.  If I had seen this post before I had purchased the device I would not have bought it.

Jawbone PLEASE give us the option to remove, or at lease reduce in volume significantly these beeb sounds on touching a volume control, etc.

Just adding my voice here to those wishing for an option.  Come on folks, this is obviously a big issue and oddly, I never read about this in any reviews online!  Why not take a great device and make it even greater? I can't believe it's not flashable, so please, before I can buy more, I'd like to see this addressed.

+1 more on this issue. It's actually extremely irritating to have these LOUD noises for everything I do with the device. It's also completely unnecessary as I can hear for myself if the sound gets louder or not, plus I know if I pressed the button... Why, oh WHY did you have to make them so loud, jawbone?

Come on now, and give us a fix for this error. It cannot be impossible on this good looking, good sounding device!
