Jambox startup and shutdownn volume

I just got my Jambox today and it is amazing. The only thing I would like to see changed is the startup and shutdown volume. It's so loud. In MyTalk, you can turn off voice announcements but that must mean only during calls... that is kind of confusing because I thought it meant no voice on startup. Hopefully I'm not missing an easy solution but if I am, please let me know!

Thanks so much for this feedback, beub87!  We're thrilled to know that you're enjoying your JAMBOX. 

To "silence" the startup greeting you can use the Quiet Power ON feature.  Simply PRESS + HOLD the volume down button while you power the JAMBOX ON. 

If you turn the voice announcements OFF the only voice announcement you will hear is the incoming Caller ID.  This feature, too, can be powered off in the Advanced Settings section of your MyTALK account.

This Quiet start is definitely helpful, but it doesn't help that power off still makes a very loud beep.

I love pretty much everything about the Jambox, except this. It seems like a REALLY simple software fix, so I hope something is in the works!

My ideal solution would be:

Startup/Shutdown sounds are all configured to use the same audio level that the device is set.

Advanced Settings:

Disable all extraneous sounds/voice

I totally agree with this request...  For me, the startup/shutdown sounds as well as some of the announcements (such as pairing) are WAY too loud.  It'd be great to be able to adjust the volume of these in MyTalk.

I also have the same problem. The startup/shutdown noises and voice announcements are ridiculously loud. I leave my Jambox at the highest volume and use my iPhone to control the playback volume. Turning the device on and off is a very jarring experience right now.

I agree with the request to make the volume for Jambox announcements adjustable. They're incredibly loud, but I don't altogether dislike hearing them - only wish they were quieter. The Jambox is great with my iPad - just used it as my speaker while watching some Star Trek tonight and while playing Infinity Blade earlier today. I'm having issues getting it to consistently act as an A2DP device for my iOS 4.1 iPhone, though. I have to keep repairing it or it just wants to receive calls. This happens with my Icon, too, so I'm betting it's an iOS problem and not a Jawbone problem.

I acquired a Jambox today. Great device, but *much* too noisy during startup/shutdown and when a bluetooth connection is done (mac/iphone). Please make this configurable.

Yet one more requesting control over the feedback volume.  The loud feedback when pressing buttons creates many an unwanted glare when using the Jambox in an office environment.

Please don't limit the control to the starup and shutdown volume, though.  The feedback volume should also be configurable for the volume controls (although doesn't need to be configurable separately from the start-up/shutdown operations).

Considering the price point and market, it should be understood that most of the people buying this fantastic little box will be business people - although some of the optional (and cheesy) voice prompts make me wonder

Thanks for this post.  I was trying to find if that was adjustable.  This is actually an issue keeping me from buying it right now.  I had to return another product because of the same thing (systems sounds were too loud for work environment when doing things with it).  A volume level adjustment for it would be a great feature.  Please have an admin PM me when this feature is available because I would certainly buy one if this feature were implemented.

I just purchased the Jambox and it is really loud on start up.
