Re: Linking Jambox with PC

Hi Mr_Dallas,

Thanks for posting in the Jawbone Forums! I'd like you to try the following steps to see if we can get audio from your PC to play through your JAMBOX:

1. Click on the following link and then click Download and follow the onscreen instructions for installing the most up to date driver for your Bluetooth hardware: http://tinyurl.com/XPSM1530BluetoothDriver
2. Click on Start->Control Panel->Hardware & Sound->Devices & Printers
3. With the JAMBOX turned on, right-click on the JAMBOX icon and select Control and then Connect (you can also accomplish this by double-clicking on the JAMBOX icon)
4. Click on Start->Control Panel->Hardware & Sound->Manage Audio Devices and select Bluetooth Stereo and click Set Default

Once you've done that try playing some music from computer and you should hear it from the JAMBOX. Let me know if you get stuck anywhere in the process.

Thanks,
JawboneEmma

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

Still having issues, below I have listed your solution AND inserted where my problems are via capital letters.  I would welcome a quick phone call sometime too if you think that would get us over this?  See below.

1. Click on the following link and then click Download and follow the onscreen instructions for installing the most up to date driver for your Bluetooth hardware: http://tinyurl.com/XPSM1530BluetoothDriver
2. Click on Start->Control Panel->Hardware & Sound->Devices & Printers
3. With the JAMBOX turned on, right-click on the JAMBOX icon and select Control and then Connect (you can also accomplish this by double-clicking on the JAMBOX icon) THERE IS NOT A "CONNECT" OPTION
4. Click on Start->Control Panel->Hardware & Sound->Manage Audio Devices and select Bluetooth Stereo and click Set Default

THE "BLUETOOTH STEREO" IS NOT SHOWING AS AN OPTION, ONLY OPTIONS SHOWING ARE 1) STERO/HEAPHONES 2) HDMI. THAT'S ALL?

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

Hello,

I am from Germany and have the same problems as the other guys.

I use a Macbook Pro 13 from 2009. I have 2 partitions. The second one with Windows 7 Ultimate is the problem. Computer and Jambox are connected, but the drivers can`t be installed.

What can I do?

Best regards

Mark

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

Hi Mr_Dallas,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having issues pairing your JAMBOX with your PC. It looks like this issue would best be resolved over the phone. We will have our MyTALK expert reach out to you to help get you set up and listening to music on your JAMBOX.

Thanks,
JawboneEmma

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

I was having the same problems as everyone else.

I could get Windows 7 to recognize and pair with the Jambox, but no audio would come out of the Jambox. Here's how I finally fixed it:

1. After pairing your Jambox with your PC, go to Start > Devices and Printers > Right click on "Jambox by Jawbone" > Properties

2. Under the "services" tab make sure "headset" is checked.

3. Go to Start, and in the search box type "stereo"

4. The top result should be "Fix and Find Audio Playback Problems", click on it

5. Click on "next"

6. On the next screen it asks you "Which of these devices do you want to troubleshoot?"  Choose the second option "Speaker-Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" and click 'next'

7. Let the troubleshooter run, then after that try to play some test audio.

This is what fixed it for me, hopefully it helps the rest of you too!

P.S. I'm running a DELL Latitude E6410

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

Well that may work for some computers, but I did not seem to be able o make it work for mine.  The difference may be I'm running Windows 7 64bit?

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

i was having same issue with my new jambox.  I am running W7 64 bit on Lenovo Thinkpad x201.  You must make sure you have updated drivers from provider like Broadcom.  However, what ultimately solved the issue for me was that I needed to connect the 3.5mm audio cable directly from my computer to the jambox for it to see it in the audio output devices(control panel-sounds-playback).  Once I did this, I was able to see the jambox and switch back and forth between the internal speakers and the jambox.  you can then remove the 3.5mm cable and play the jambox via bluetooth..no more wires!  Best of Luck and Happy New Year!

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

I stand corrected.  Turn jambox off.  Plug in with USB.  You need to sign up online for MYTALK. download Updater.  Run update.  make sure computer runs through installation process.  once updates are run your jambox will be connected via bluetooth.

Re: Linking Jambox with PC

I have read/tried most posts in attempts to (1) pair Jambox with laptop, and (2) get sound through Jambox.  Since computers, applications, etc. differ its been a futile effort for me.  Please have someone contact me tomorrow to resolve this issue.  Thank you.
