JAMBOX FIND ANSWERS QUICKLY! |

Thumbs up on this request. Perhaps Jawbone could create a Jambox2.0 where IT could connect to an IPad and then transmit to multiple destinations. I'd buy this for an additional $50.00 ontop of the regular price.

I think it´s not so much on the JAMBOX but more of a problem on the transmission. I should sell JAWBONE the idea of a transmitter with mutiple bluettoth channels. That way it can connect with many devices at once. mybe like a 3 channel bluetooth transmitter. since bluetooth can only be used in one channel per time.. I think that should work. I think I should be heading to the lab and invent this. LOL...

i think there could be a device that takes an imput signal (maybe even wirelessly through bluetooth) and then splits this signal to various further bluetooth receivers. if this splitter-device was a bit more advanced it could even forward only the left or right signal to each receiver.
i already searched for this kind of "bluetooth splitter", but there doesn't seem to be any device like this. technically it should be possible, but no one ever thought about this.

I think it will be a security reason why not to have two bluetooth @the same time. Do you want someone to eavesdrop on your calls?

i think you misunderstand. the splitter should only act as a "multiplier" of the original bluetooth signal. it receives one original signal and transmits the same signal to multiple different clients which have to securely connect to the splitter on their own. there is no security vulnerability here. besides the idea for connecting multiple jamboxes was in order to create wireless stereo sound and not for phone calls. in my case the jambox is rather used as "jambox" most of the time not as a handsfree set. although sometimes i also use it as a handsfree if i cannot use the phone in my pool etc.

Oh really? No security vulnerability?

i am not sure what you are afraid of? someone hearing you talking with your mum about the best soup-recipes? maybe you shouldn't use any bluetooth device at all, or even avoid mobile phones by all means!

LOL..... Very funny! Trust me I have more cell phones and bluetooths then you can ever afford to buy lol.....
Get back to the real life! It is not feasible and security reason NOT TO HAVE TWO bluetooth conection @the same time. If there was a way, then both speaker will still play both the left and right signal, IE the right speaker will still process both the right and left signal.Think about it a little bit more! lol....

you only need 2 separate bluetooth-transmitters in one box. that's the trick. if there was such a (fictive) bluetooth dongle which allowed to transmit the same signal to two different bluetooth receivers at the same time, it could in the same way be adjustable to splits both stereo-channels in the same way. but no such external dongle exists, therefore it is all speculation.
technically i see no reason why it shouldn't work as there are enough speakers that already work that way.
you maybe know the parrot zikmu wireless speakers. they act like a wireless stereo-system. they are 2 separate speakers with no interconnection between them. they can both receive audio through wlan or bluetooth or through a docked i-device, or even analog input. both communicate and sync through bluetooth. so if i connect with my iphone to one of the speakers, the other speaker automatically connects to the first and plays music in sync and in stereo.
also nokia's new play 360 is able to sync with another speaker and both act as a stereo-system then. it could have been possible with the jambox as well, if jawbone thought about this before. how much would such an additional transmitter-device cost, 20-30$ more...?
but now it is too late. the jambox will never be a wireless stereosystem. you have to look somewhere else. maybe even the new rumored bose ultraportable wireless speaker ("Bose Chihuahua") which is claimed to be a direct competitor to the the jawbone could do the trick. who knows? in some days we will know more about it.

I would just like to add my vote to the request.
It would be a great feature if it was possible. It is the same as the function where two or more Sonos devices can work together which is an amazing experience.
The JamBox is a great product never the less.
Thank you.
