My Jambox arrived on Friday and I charged it up to full battery. I then connected it to my iPad and played music and video for many hours. I wasn't counting, but I'd guess it played really well for about 8 hours before I got the voice warning telling me to charge it. I was playing at close to full volume, so I thought this was pretty good.
I gave it another full charge and played some music on it the next day. I pressed the talk button from time to time and was told "close to full charge". However, after about 2 hours it started telling me to charge it. I figured maybe I hadn't charged it or had been listening for longer than I thought. So I charged it back to full and left it for a day.
I switched it on last night and pressed the talk button. "Close to full charge" I was told. I played a video for less than an hour and heard the charging voice. It went from "close to full" to "under 25%" in about 5 mins
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jack.

Thanks Jaimie,
I charged it for 3 hours from dead to full last night. Put a timer on it and played music at a medium volume for 1 hour and 9 mins before it went into the red. I'll play it all the way to dead tonight to see how long I get.
I'm in Scotland, so calling your customer support isn't going to work. I'll send it back to the Apple Shop where I bought it. Can't say I'm going to ask for a replacement as so many people have the same issue.
It's a real shame - the sound quality is great, but something is letting the company down. I tried for months to purchase an Up band until it was obvious they didn't work. I know it must be tough for you to deal with the problems but PLESE tell the powers in the company that you have a fantastic opportunity if they could sort out the technical issues.
Best,
Jack.

For completeness, I ran it down to zero today - total play time was 1 hour 17 minutes from a full 3 hour charge. I'll do a hard reset and see if that changes anything.

After the hard reset and a full 2.5 hour charge, it lasted 1 hour and 19 minutes. Last option is the soft reset which I did this morning. I'll see how long it lasts tonight.

To end the saga, I did the soft reboot, charged it up for 3 hours and played it out. 1 hour 17mins. At least it's consistent. Sending it back to the Apple Store. Great sound but not acceptable.
