Exact same problem here... and i have a mac and iPhone4S ; just static noisy stuff instead of music... Only when I turn the volume to max I can slightly here a bit of the music under the noise...
I can not find a way to change those driver selections on either of my devices.
Is there a software update coming up that adresses this problem or do I have to send it back to the mac store ?

I was just toying with the mini-jack cable and came across a weird little workaround for our problem ; if u plug in a mini-jack in the jambox (yes only one end) halfway (u have to toy with it a bit to find the excact spot) the bluetooth-connection suddely works as it should be !

I just tried to stick a mini-jack into the jambox and the bluetooth works perfectly. Is there a more real fix to this problem? I don't want a jack hanging out the side of my Jambox every time I want to play it.

I was reading the thread as I have the same issue, my Jambox is less than one month old. The latest post in this thread suggested putting a minijack halfway in the jack port, I did this and everything seems to be working fine. Is this a manufacture error? Should I return my jambox to the retailer for a replacement? Or is there a fix I can do?

same by me, i buyed my jamebox within Telekom Germany, sometimes - if I toogle the 3,5" "Klinkenstecker" in/out I hear the bluetooth sound. I think problem is a "switch" inside the 3,5"
connector to switching the audio Source inside between analog audio input und digital bluetooth Audio.
I´m shure the connector iside is bad. :-(
I´m a developer of embedded systems, maybe I will try to fix them manually.

Hi Jaime - I have experienced he same exact problem. I can connect my JB to my phone and get phone audio/speaker but it will not play media sound (despite being connected and taking over my phone's media, e.g. the music stops playing upon pairing).
It is connected to no other devices. I had just paired it with my Macbook but I disconnected it before playing from my phone again.
Thanks,
Chris

How is this an acceptable solution to the issue? Something is obviously wrong with the 2.1 software update if this issue is happening to so many people. I should not have to have an aux cable half plugged in hanging out of the side of my $200 speaker for the bluetooth to work correctly in it streaming music. It has been months now and the only solution I have seen other than this is how we should buy the BIG Jambox. Why? So that we can love it too until we do the recommended software update and effectively turn our extremely high price speakers into paperweights? (or at best wired speakers which we can get for a hell of a lot less money)
