Power Switch Not Working

Hello. Unfortunately the power switch of my Jambox stopped working. Now my Jawbone is always in "ON" position; therefore, I cannot turn it into pairing mode, and obviously, I can't turn it off.

 

I thought it was just a matter of updating or resetting the Jambox, but the website says you have to turn off the Jambox in order to make any updates.

 

Help, please!

Switch doesnt react, impossible to update connecting with an USB, basicly bad experiance.....

My brand new Jambox is now making troubles after about 12 hour use. It doesnt react on the switch button, not unless i press it high and hold it in order for it to be in pairing mode, and it confirms it.

Seems impossible to get it connected since it doesnt switch off when i use the off switch. Seems to me that it is still on. It has worked fine for atleast 10 hours. Was kinda hoping for a better quality.....

What to do?

Hey guys,
I too am having an issue with my power button. For. Some reason it seems like when my speaker has a full charge the power button will slide to the on position play the tone I have set up on it but when it goes to sync to my phone and play the connected tone, it won't play it and I get a bad static feedback sound and it won't play any music or allow me to adjust the volume, I thought updating my speaker would fix it but it hasn't. I also cannot initiate the bluetooth pairing feature on the phone. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help. Is there a warranty on these speakers? Can I get a new one? I love the speaker up until this point.

Hello: My power switch also stopped working. Now it's just always on. I tried the reset process, that did not help. Please help me gat this fixed. Thanks Diego

Hi Jawbone Community,

 

I'm sorry to hear that some of you are experiencing issues with the power switch on your JAMBOX. I really appreciate you bringing these problems to our attention and I am more than happy to help. 

 

My first suggestion is to try a soft reset if you haven't done so already:

1. While the JAMBOX is ON, hold down the TALK button (circular button)

2. Plug in the JAMBOX to the charger. The charger must be plugged in to power.

3. Once the JAMBOX is plugged in to the charger, you can release the TALK button.

 

If that doesn't help, I would suggest that you contact our support team at info@aliph.com or 1-800-JAWBONE. There is a one year warranty on the JAMBOX assuming that you purchased through an authorized reseller. Our support team will be happy to replace your unit if their additional troubleshooting ideas don't resolve the issue. I hope this helps and feel free to post again if you have additional questions or concerns.
