Sound level problem

I have the problem described here in many post without a correct answer.

 

My jambox worked for monthes, then, suddently, the volume level lowered to inaudible when using Bluetooth. I tried to upgrade the software to 2.1, to reset the device using the procedures described in this forum with no change. The device work fine when connected by audio cable, so I think it is a kind of firmware parameter issue, not an hardware one.

 

Can you help ?

Hi ebrelion,

Thanks for writing in and I'm sorry your Jambox isn't working the way it should. The issue isn't related to firmware.  It would appear from your description that the audio port thinks the audio cable is in it even when it's not. When you have the audio cable in the jack it overrides the stereo Bluetooth signal. You can test out this theory by pairing it up to a phone with media on it and then making a call to that phone. You should hear the call over Bluetooth in that situation because phone calls override the audio port. Unfortunately this means you'll have to get it replaced to use it for Bluetooth stereo.

I purchased my jambox over Xmas and was really excite about it. Less than two months later whenever I pair with bluetooth, I hear the sound and immediately it reduces to zero sound. I have tried everything but it isn't working. I live n Africa, though I purchased in the states so I'm not sure where to return this to (if no solution). This is extremely frustrating. Pls help.
