Gaulty, Please could you share the magic solution to this issue? I take it your problems were resolved?

Same issues here. I purchased from a reseller on Amazon, so I doubt I'll get much help from Jawbone, even though it is clearly a hardware issue. I'm stuck with the cable plugged mostly in just to get the bluetooth to stream correctly. I'be been browsing forums all day long, and have yet to find a solution other than 'exchange for another jambox', which I'm assuming would have the exact same problems. I would love to hear what customer service has to say, if anything.
Are customers having these same issues with the Big Jambox? Since it is different hardware I was thinking it may not suffer the same build quality issues.

Hello,
this has started to happen to me today also. Jawbone was working perfectly fine but all of a sudden, bluetooth connectivity no longer works. It connects to my devices, but instead of sound i hear static. Plugging it in via headphone jack works fine, so i know the speakers aren't broken, it;s the bluetooth connectivity.
I've already "forgotten device", rebooted my mac air and iphone AND jawbone, re-paired, and still same issue.
Please help ASAP!!

Actually the problem is the 3.5mm jack in the Jambox.
You can verify this by connecting your jambox via bluetooth and start playing music.
Now take a 3.5mm cable and plug one end halfway into the jambox (you may have to wiggle it or work it a little bit), the other end of the cable should be unplugged.
If the 3.5mm jack is the problem you should hear your bluetooth audio start playing.
You see the issue is that on some Jamboxes the pins inside the plug are not recessing back after you unplug the 3.5mm cable so the jambox thinks you are trying to play music through the cable and not through Bluetooth.
If this is the problem the only recourse is to have the Jambox replaced. Jambox is aware of this issue.
Good Luck

Absolutely spot on with the 3.5mm jack issue...
I just synced the latest update for my jambox.. and it just wont connect on stereo mode.
it connects fine with with mac book pro on mono only.
so i did just what you said by wiggling the 3.5mm cable into the jack and there....
my bluetooth is back in business...
i definitely aint paying another 200 bucks for this...

From what I've been told by Jawbone, select Jamboxes had this issues. My assumption is that this issue has been corrected in later models but I don't know that for sure. They did however tell me that this issue is not a problem on the big jambox. What I do is just don't use the 3.5mm jack at all so that this will never be an issue on my Jambox. This may not be an option for people that depend on this functionality nor does it matter for people that currently are experiencing this problem and are not under warranty from Jawbone. Since this is a problem that is known to Jawbone I think they should be replacing these units for people.. Its a dissapointment that this is a $200 item with this sort of issue..

I had this buzzing and static as well, and putting the plug half way in worked for me. It took me a while to find this post, but I'm glad I did because I was about to return my Jambox.
