Hello. I have my Jambox paired with my Samsung Series 7 Slate tablet and it works fine as a speaker, but I'm not able to use it as a microphone. In Sound/Recording/Recording Devices I see "Bluetooth Microphone", which I assume is the Jambox, but it's "disconnected" and I'm not able to connect to it. In "Bluetooth Device Operation and Settings" for the Jambox, I see only "Listen to Music" and "Forward VoIP Calls to Handsfree". Anyone know how I can also use it as a microphone?

Hi paulgareau,
The Bluetooth Mic capability is currently not available on the JAMBOX. But I will forward your suggestion to our team!

This gave me the impression that it does:

With a powerful, built-in microphone, JAMBOX frees you to share crisp, clean-sounding conference calls anywhere - in the office, car, at home, alone or with a group. No more garbled, hard-to-hear chatter through your mobile phone or computer, no more being tied down by phone lines. Just crisp, clean wireless conference calls from your phone or computer. It's also perfect for sharing video chats via iChat®, Skype®, Google Talk™ and more.
Are you sure about that?

Hi paulgareau,
I'm sorry if that was confusing. I meant to say that you cannot connect to the Microphone via Bluetooth. You can only connect to the microphone in conjunction with the JAMBOX speaker over Bluetooth.

That's what I want to do.

Please go to the Control Panel, choose Hardware & Sound. Then, click manage audio devices and select the Playback Tab. Select Speakers (Bluetooth Hands-free Audio) and set as default. Then, select the Recording tab and choose Speakers (Bluetooth Hands-free Audio) and set that as default too.

"Then, select the Recording tab and choose Speakers (Bluetooth Hands-free Audio)"
That isn't in the list.

Some more info:
In "Bluetooth Device Operations and Settings", if I click "Listen to Music" first, I get good quality Audio through the "Bluetooth Headphones" item in Sound/Playback, but I'm not able to connect to "Bluetooth Microphone" in Sound/Recording. If I click "Forward VoIP calls to Handsfree" I can only use "Bluetooth Headset" for my audio and the sound quality is terrible, but I CAN use "Bluetooth Microphone" in Sound/Recording. What I want is to use "Bluetooth Headphones" and "Bluetooth Microphone" at the same time.

Now I understand! Sorry for the confusion, paulgareau.
Unfortunately, the higher quality stereo (A2DP) is outbound only. In order to use the mic, the mic can only be used with mono (Hands-free).
For calls, the mono channel should be adequate. But if you want to stream music over mono, the music won't sound as nice, so you'd want to use stereo.
