I'm really surprised that Jawbone isn't responding to this request. My only guess is that the ability to mute things like the volume control is not something that can be changed in a firmware upgrade. Also, without the beeps (or the music playing) you don't have any idea whether the volume is high or low.
This is too bad because it's a great little speaker with really nice sound! But, the constant beeps whenever you increase or decrease the volume is downright fatiguing.

yes, the volume of the BEEP is REALLY LOUD and needs to be adjustable.
That said, this thing is so killer that I am willing to overlook it for now!
With all the lame limitations of Bluetooth, this Jambox is really really GREAT.
So, stop saying that you are going to return your Jambox to Bestbuy like a bunch of babies, stick it out, they'll fix it, it is worth the annoying quirks!!!!!

Just really not needed and annoying and irritating.

While you cannot change the shut down or startup system sounds, you can silence them when needed. Simply hold down the (-) minus button, turn on or off, and continue to hold the (-) minus button for a second. Works fine. Not a permenant fix, and doesnt help +- button sounds, but deals with startup and shutdown annoyance.

Add me to the list. I love the Jambox - it's a great device - but my wife is already p*ssed at the beeps! With all the other fixes and options, it has to be doable Jawbone! Please give us the option.

My beeping stopped, and so did my ability to control the volume (which is now very low).. Is my Jambox broken or is there some way to fix this?
On holiday and was counting on enjoying some good music..
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thank you!

HI Yoshie,
I'm so sorry to hear that you are having issues with your JAMBOX. Was this problem ever resolved or do you still need some advice?
If you do, please first try a soft reset :
1. While the JAMBOX is ON, hold down the TALK button (circular button)
2. Plug in the JAMBOX to the charger. The charger must be plugged in to power.
3. Once the JAMBOX is plugged in to the charger, you can release the TALK button.
Let me know if this helps,
JawboneAlex
