I upgraded the Jambox software to usr "LiveAudio". It worked for a few days, and yes, the audio level is not as lound on the "live-audio" setting - but that is not the concern I have. What has happended, (and I do not know if it is coincidence or becuase of the upgrade) is that, after pairing any device to the jambox, the "+" and "-" on the jambox do not work - nothing, nada... and I cannot "switch" between "live audio" and previous setting. In other words, nothing on the jambox works. I need to put the volume level at full on (iphone, ipad etc), but that is the only volume control - nothing on the jambox works. Is the jambox defective or was this the result of the upgrade? No way to "back-out" or restore to previous settings. Tried every "reset" I have read about. Any advice? I have a few friends i was about to recommend the jambox to, but, no go until this is addressed - any help, anyone??
I have exactly the same problem. Jambox working with ipad2. After upgrade volume controls have no effect. Did the reset as recommended by support but makes no difference. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Thank you

I attempted a hard reset and it did not resolve the issue even though the reset was successful. The jawbone plays phone calls at a normal loud level, however music plays through at a barely audible low volume level and the volume keys provide no response at all. This jambox was working perfectly fine before the update.

My volume control buttons do not work too. Followed your factory reset instruction a few times, but the light does not turn red after pressing Talk button six times. What to do? My Jambox software is up to date.
I'm sorry to hear that your volume control buttons are not working! Can you please give Customer Support a call at 1800-JAWBONE, between 6 am- 7pm PST? They will be able to help you troubleshoot or discuss warranty options.
Just got a Jambox. All was OK after initial setup until I changed some things in MyTalk including the name of device. After trying some suggestions which didn't help I deleted the Jambox from the Bluetooth preferences window and then set it up again. That fixed two problems: volume controls not working and never connecting or connecting for only a short time.
My guess is that it's the name change that causes problems.
