volume very low on Jambox

Just got a jambox for my son. He uses it on his Moto Droid Bionic. Volume has always been very low. I searched forums, updated software, googled for similar problems, tried everything, and still low volume. It is lower that the standard speaker on the phone itself. Tried all volume adjustments, using with or without bluetooth, different settings, with or without realaudio, battery is fully charged, and still no better than the speaker in the phone. Supposed to put out more Db's than a motorcycle. Right now not putting out more than a bicycle. Please help. I don't wan to think that a device this expensive is useless.

SAME issue here for me...using and IPhone and an IPad - so dang low, it sucks!!

Same here. It seems as my Jambox lost volume after having updated to 2.1. Can I downgrade?

I think it has to do with the settings for Live Audio and Clarity Sound. Follow Chippwalters' hints in his helpful post What you should KNOW.... It helped me.

yes... the funny thing is that you have to be paired to turn that off...mine is brand new with new hardware (powermac, opad2, iphone 4s, etc). nothing pairs and the av cable direct connection plays barely audible

I've the same problem. With this low volume level the jambox is worthless. The Iphone 3G speaker is louder!!! What can I do? Need help!

Same problem with me. With maximum volume on Jambox I hardly-harly hear music playing via Bluetooth. With cable works OK. This so insane.

I did some investigation and here are results:

- via cable Jambox works OK, sound is on and good.

- via Bluetooth from PC using in Headset and Microphone mode works OK, sound is mono and low quality as is supposed to be.
- via Bluetooth from PO using Advanced Audio mode sound doesn't play! And I see in Bluetooth Advanced Audio Status window that signal is coming out of PC, packets are being recieved and transmitted. I see activity in Windows mixer for Bluetooth output.

Tried with both High quality and Middle quality of Bluetooth Advanced Audio properties.

Tried all combinations of sound settings of Jambox (Clarity, Live etc.)

Tried factory reset as per here -> http://aliph.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/337/kw/factory+reset

Didnd't fix.

So what is the issue? What should I do next?

another fact:

once paired in Advanced Audio mode, I can click on + - buttons and reach maximum, I hear clicks, but not music.

All of this appeared after upgrade of software!
