Your Up is a wearable computer, just like your iPhone itself. Would you strap your iPhone to your chest in hot yoga? No, you would not; the iPhone is rated only for an ambient temperature of 95F. And so I wouldn't suggest you wear your Up in an intense high-heat Bikram class either.

Is this an official solution? Unlike phones, the UP is supposed to be able to withstand heat and moisture.  (i.e.- can't you take a hot shower with one?) I thought that was one of the big improvements from UP V.1 to UP V.2?

Hi All,

The band was designed to keep up with your lifestyle. But remember, it's a little computer on your wrist that is sensitive to extreme conditions and temperatures. We urge you to use caution before exposing it to activities such as Bikram Yoga.

I do about 4-7 hours of hot yoga per week and I've had no trouble. 40/40 is not uncommon in tropical countries; sweating should happen every time you work out. If jawbone can't make a fitness product that can withstand an hour of fitness (aka heat and sweat), then what are we all doing here?

It'll be fine- mine is. Enjoy your classes. Namaste!

but does it accurately record the calories burned during Bikram? You're not really moving much
