Hi guys, David here from Jawbone. Thanks for reaching out on this issue.
I don't believe this particular problem is tied to any firmware updates (or Updater updates); it sounds like a Bluetooth issue. Here's what I suggest you do:
1) Turn off the Bluetooth from any competing devices (e.g. your phone) so you are guaranteeing your Mac is getting your Jawbone's single streaming connection.
2) Go to your Mac's Bluetooth settings (in Preferences or from the Bluetooth menu bar icon). Remove your Jawbone from the list of devices by selecting it and pressing the - button.
3) Then put your Jawbone into pairing mode (switch it off, press down the button, switch it on, wait a second, release the button)
4) On the Bluetooth menu press the + button (or Setup Bluetooth devices if you've left the Bluetooth preferences pane) and select your Jawbone. You may need to connect by selecting 'Use as Audio Device (Stereo)" from your Bluetooth dropdown. Note that with Lion this option will be slightly different (will just say 'Use as Audio Device".
Re-pairing without any other Bluetooth devices around will ensure your Mac recognizes the appropriate Bluetooth services, namely your A2DP streaming connection. Let me know if this works for you all, if not happy to help anyone either through this forum or offline.

This really does seem to be an aliph issue...I've been wanting so bad to sit here with MOG and enjoy music from my mb pro but cannot. Everything else works fine including my icon. Please guys, work on a resolution...maybe even work with the guys at apple...I am close to putting my jambox on ebay as all we continue to hear is "this is not our problem" or "just try re-pairing your device." come on guys!

Hi David,
Thanks for replying.
I did all steps you mention and I could solve the connection problem. However, the sound is quite annoying. I use it with Skype and I can not mantain a conversation so the sound goes off and on, making a conversation like a jumping!
Any help for this?
thanks again for your attention and help!

re-pairing is not a solution.Tried it so many times. As i told i tried it in both my mac's an imac and a macbook pro.In addition to the compatibility issue, that era pairs one in ten times, after a mirraculous connection after some minutes internet connection freezes as era is disconnecting again. It one and a half month after Lion is out and many months after it was given to developers. That's not a professional aspect

Have tried your solutions and to no avail.... Original Macbook Air 11inch and Lion 10.7.1 and a lot of frustration.... Why is Bluetooth such a convoluted and fragile technology!!!

it is disappointing for a brand which sells premium bluetooth headsets not to deal with such an important issue!it is frustrating. My headset is useless, few times i manage to connect it after some seconds my laptop freezes for a minute and then connection is gone again

hello guys
I've just bought Jawbone Icon after watching lot of reviews and deciding to choose Jawbone as the one which fulfill my needs.
I've got Macbook Pro 2010 with Lion and Iphone 4. I wanted to pair these both devices but Macbook constantly disconnect my jawbone. I've tried to do everything as you posted before but still have connection issue.
Is there any way I can finally get device to work Mr Jawbone???

welcome to the club czaras! We are also dealing the same error-bug but Jawbone keeps ignoring us

Thanks for all the info folks. I was thinking of buying a Jawbone, but if it doesn't work with Skype on Lion *AND* pair with my phone at the same time, then I'm going elsewhere.
(Telling people to turn off their phones is a lame answer: we obviously need it to work on both. Since I thought Jawbones are capable of this, I'm sure glad I came across this forum before buying a Jawbone!).
