ERA seen by Jawbone Updater, but not by MyTalk

I've tried this on two different computers.  One is a Dell running Windows 7 Enterprise x64 and the other is a Mac 10.6 (Intel Core2Duo).  On both computers, the updater sees the ERA as connected, but MyTalk never sees them.  I've tried all the quick fix suggestions on the site.  I've tried it with it powered on and off, but it never makes a difference.  I've uninstalled and installed on both machines.  I've even booted the Mac in 32- and 64-bit kernel with no difference.  Any suggestions?  I don't have a lot of time to sit on the phone with tech support for something like this.  If it is this difficult to get working, I'll just move on to a Plantronics.

Problem solved.  The MyTalk application doesn't appear to work when you are behind a proxy.  Bad news for business users.  I found this out after taking my work laptop home.
