MYTALK FIND ANSWERS QUICKLY! |

OK so now that we have the accellerometer, what I'd like to see is a MyTalk app that has a list of "functions" or gestures that can be user set to a corresponding list of functions. On the gesture side, here's what I'd like to have:
Tap
double-tap (exists today to pick up/hang up)
Tap down
Tap up
double tap down
double tap up
shake
double shake
Talk button (not a gesture, but somethign that's still configurable, which it is today)
Hold-Talk button
I'd like the gestures to be configurable between "phone" and "A2DP" modes (i.e. the gestures are configured for one set of command when in phone mode (incoming call, on a call) - and A2DP (using any A2DP application). Long term it would be great if the Era could distinguish between different A2DP applications and the functions mapped to the gestures could be uniquly configured by application (i.e. the music player, podcast player, etc.).
There are the "commands" I'd like to see that could be mapped to the gestures:
Phone-mode
Pick up call (exists today)
Hang up call (exists today)
Dismiss incoming call (exists today)
Mute
Volume up
Volume down
NoiseAssassin on/off toggle (exists today)
A2DP-mode
Pause/Play toggle
Fast Forward
Next Track
Rewind
Previous Track
Mute
Volume Up
Volume Down
If my version of MyTalk existed today, here's how I'd map my device:
Phone-Mode
Tap = Mute
Double-tap = pick up/hang up (flash) - same as today
tap down = volume down
tap up = volume up
double tap down = dismiss call (easier than press & hold Talk button)
double-shake = pair (same as today)
A2DP-Mode
Tap = pause/play toggle
tap down = fast forward
tap up = rewind
double tap down = next track
double tap up = previous track
Talk-button = intitiate phone mode/voice dial
Just some initial thoughts
