just picked up my big jambox and the sync is frozen at 4%. what is the fix for this? amazed there are this many people with this people.

The sync should continue to the end at this point but may stall out at 97%. The Jambox will have the full firmware update at this point (even if it stalls at 97%) so unplug it and you'll be ready to go.

Hi HS,
Thanks for posting on the Forum and welcome to the Jawbone Community! I'm sorry to hear you are having a problem updating your JAMBOX.
First, is your JAMBOX turned OFF and plugged in properly via USB when trying to update on MYTALK?
Next, I would suggest deleting and reinstalling the updater on your computer in addition to rebooting both your JAMBOX and your computer.
Let me know what happens,
JawboneAlex

MyTalk update/sync only makes it to 81% and then freezes. Unplugged & replugged several times but nothing changes. Please help!

wow, horrible update. 10 tries to recognize the unit, then freezes at 4% and then to add insult to injury, you have to create a completely separate account from your jawbone account to be able to use the forum.
once the 4% issue is "fixed", then the cascade of error messages of the driver being incorrectly installed, the USB device "not working properly" and you finish with an update failure message that compels you to retry the install, but then wont allow you to.
seamless disaster from jawbone - thanks for the update email, perhaps the subject line should be "ruin your night, try to install our seemingly simple software update now"
oh wait, new problem, now it wont recognize my iphone, just keeps saying "jambox is in parin' mode, we're waitin' on your device"
seriously guys?!?

I have the same exact problem. Is there a fix?

I experienced the same sysptoms you-all described. Because it was after hours (CS unavailable), I unplugged and replugged out of despiration. The upload continued, for another 5 min though it ultimately reported failure. I tried a few more times, each time getting the failure message, though the messages appeared seconds after starting the update.
So I unplugged and powered it on and-- (wait for it) -- it worked. On the mytalk page it even reports that it has the latest update installed. That second upload apparently worked despite the failed feedback.
Guys, please attend to this high blood pressure scenario ASAP; I gave up theme park rides for a reason.
