Car Charger

I have owned my Jawbone for close to 3 years now and it is fantastic. No one can tell I am not on a land line. I drive a convertible and no one can tell. I have helped sell so many of these...the one thing I would like to see is a car charge, what's up with that!?

Re: Car Charger

This is what you need:

Note that you will have to purchase the car charger unit (second link) in addition to the tip above. I keep tips for the iPhone, Moto earpiece and the New Jawbone in the glovebox so all my small devices can be charged on the go. Hope that helps.

Re: Car Charger

You could also buy a 12v to 110v convertor at walmart, radio shack etc.  Not very expensive, and most should have a usb port built in so you don't need the wall plug from the home charger

Re: Car Charger

dont listen to any of these people telling you buy 3rd party car charges they will fry your battery. It may not happen right away but you will notice battery issues. Get the charger cable that Jawbone offers in their store section

Re: Convertable

I drive a convertable and let me tell you - with the top down not even the jaw bone (original) works!  It might at 20 -30 mph.  When you're driving faster that about 30 mph the wind will keep any ear piece from working!!!!

I kept the jawbone because when the top is not down, my office can hear me best on this one. I tried half a dozen last year when I got the car.  If anyone knows what will work in a convertable - i'd love to know!!!!!

Re: Car Charger

Since Jawbone has their own car charger,  Perhaps they could modify the plug in unit to just have the charging adapter at the end of the plug so you could use it as a place to hold your jawbone while charging it too!

since the charger for the 2nd gen and the prime are both magnetic it would hold the jawbone securely and be able to be grabbed quickly.   No fumbling with a lanyard around your neck etc..
