Re: Ear Loops

The loops seem to be made out of some sort of cast pot metal.  Really very cheap for such a good unit.  Maybe carbon fiber would be a better choice and in keeping with the quality claims.

Yep!!

It's all about those ear loops!!  :smileymad:

You know by now, they are horrible.  The jawbone ROCKS though!!! :smileyvery-happy: So if you could just nail down that one massive flaw, you'd be livin' (and I know you know THAT too)

Good luck!! :smileywink:

P.S. - I still have not bought another to replace my 2nd gen because I know the fit will suck anyway.  However, I know I am missing OUT!  :smileyhappy:

Re: Ear Loops

Seems clear that earloops suck .If you do something silly, like move, it falls off.  Apparently designers don't test? Adding a Jabra earbud works pretty good, wonder if you should copy a better design.  Could be a winner sense Jabra won't stand up to moisture.

Re: Yep!!

if they would improve on the way it fits, that would be great.

Re: Ear Loops

Thank you all for weighing in on the earloops. You have provide excellent feedback, which is extremely helpful for us as we strive to improve our products and make them the best they can possibly be for our users.

For those of you who have struggled with the New Jawbone (Jawbone 2) earloops, have you tried out the New Fit Earbuds? For many people (myself included), using the New Fit Earbuds eliminates the need to wear the earloop altogether and helps keep the Jawbone snug against your face.  Let me know if those help!

Re: Ear Loops

I found using both is perfect!

Fits snug with the ear bud and I have the comfort of the ear loop when I bend over. I never think twice about having it on, I forget most the time and never worry about losing it.

Re: Ear Loops

I have the Jawbone 1 and I've always had a problem with the earloops.  The rubber on the first got soft, and the metal end stuck through.  I was then impossible to get on the ear, without dislodging the rubber.  The second earloop was slightly smaller, or at least shaped differently, and I could never get it right.  I called Jawbone to BUY new earloops, and was told they did not sell them.!  I was very disappointed.  For the price I paid, I expected spare parts to be available.

Shortly thereafter, my Jawbone broke, and Jawbone replaced it under warranty, and in this manner I got new earloops.

I think the earloops are a problem, and should be available at reasonable cost.

Other than the earloops, and the earbud coming off all the time, this is the only Bluetooth headset that I can really hear with.  I'd hate to be without it, even with it's faults.

Re: Ear Loops

I have both the Jawbone 2 and the newer version of it - because I can never find the thing when I want it.  I figured I paid for the second one with lowering the expense of the cost of replacement earloops.  But, I find that the new fit isn't as great as it could be.  Didn't anyone ever guess that women might need to use the Jawbone also?  I bought my daughter a Discovery 925 and the fit seems tighter on that one than the Jawbone 2 (newer model).

Re: Yep!!

Buy a custom molded earpiec from pilotstuff.com.  They have a couple dozen colors, they fit perect and work even better.  I've had them for both my JB1 and JB2.  I bought my JB1 with the intent on getting the custom earpiece.  To me it's the only way.

Re: Ear Loops

Those "fit" earbuds didn't work any better.  Maybe it's me ears, but I have never like ANY earbuds for anything.  I only used the buds for my JB1 & 2 until I got my custom earpiece from pilotstuff.com.
