I am a Noobie to not only your product but also to handsfree devices in general.
I read and re-read the startup guide and was puzzled. To turn it on, it said to hold down the talk button for 2 seconds. Ok, that did not work. Tried again, nothing. Is it discharged? Ok, charge it. Then try again, no dice. Finally I held down the little bugger for awhile. What's this? A little melody! Ok try 'er now. Hey! it works.
I later timed the hold-down time with my watch. It takes 4 seconds, not 2. Exactly 4. Why couldn't the guide be honest about this? Why does it not mention anything about the tones one hears? Because I cannot trust the guide I am not sure how to do things such as properly redialing the last number. The guide says to touch the assassin button 3 times. I do that, no joy again. Under what circumstance does one tap that button? (stand by? After the tone that announces that the phone is linked? When?) how fast should the button be pushed? I tried a lot of variations, no result. This is on a Treo 650.
Quit trying to imitate Apple in your artsyness and provide us real, valid information.
Bob

This is extremely good feedback, thank you for sharing it. I have shared your ideas with our team responsible for creating the user guide so they can use it as guidance when writing the guides in the future. Thanks again!

Mine is the same. 4 seconds is probably a design feature to stop inadvertent switch on in pockets! The instructions are incorrect
