Got the UP on Friday and used it fine for two days. On Sunday the "Moon" light on the device stopped showing but it would still vibrate when I switched modes. The activity mode light would still come on. I set it to sleep mode last night and the main page on my phone will show me that I slept 7hr 15m but it won't show me any more details.
This morning both lights stopped coming on at all and now the device is completely bricked. I have had it plugged into a wall charger for about an hour. While it is plugged in there is a full-green color flower but when I unplug it there is nothing. The funny thing is that it will still sync with the phone just fine. It shows that it is charged at 100%. I've seen a couple of posts about charging with multi-colored lights but I haven't seen that at all. I've tried reseting it by holding it down and plugging it in.
Any help would be great.

Eric,
I have the same problem.
I bought it yesterday and used it all day and night with no problems (minus the syncing issues, which worked itself out within a couple of tries, if it doesn't sync all I have to do it unplug then replug then hit sync - I have an iphone 4s running iOS5)
But this morning all of a sudden the push button doesn't seem to work consistantly.
It use to give me a flashing green flower or blue moon when i short press it, now nothing. It only periodically does that now...seems like a fault button or bad connection to me.
I tried the reset while plugged into the USB charge and holding the button and it reset and worked again for about 1 min but once i put it back on my wrist the button became sporadic again, which leads me to believe that its a faulty connection since the bending of the band to fit on my wrist cause it to stop
working.
I'm a bit dissapointed in the reliability of this device since its meant to be taken off every single time to sync it. hopefully its just an isolated incident, I will take it back to Target tomorrow to exchange it.
(I have a black medium up)
Let me know what you guys find out.
Jeff

I am having this same exact problem.
I'm going to take my Up band back the Apple Store today and return it. Maybe if they release an updated version or a new model, I'll try it again. However, right now I'm not too thrilled with my $100 purchase.

Same thing happened to me. It unbricked itself randomly after I spent an hour messing with it last night, then rebricked itself sometime today.
Just brought it back to the Apple Store and got a new one. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!

I talked on the phone to Jawbone customer service. They were more than willing to work with me to get a new one sent out with a pre-paid shipping package for the old. That was about 10:00am PST. They said they'd have a rep contact me with the shipping info but I haven't seen an email yet (it's about 3:40 PST).
They did say they were having some problems like this and it sounds like they are trying to get them replaced as soon as possible to resolve the problem with the manufacturer and get new ones to buyers.

They are sending me a new one with a pre-paid shipping package for the old one too. But they told me my issue (sync failure) is an isolated incident. From these forums it doesn't sound too isolated to me. Hopefully the new one they ship will actually SYNC!!!

I got my UP on Saturday and it worked fine, except my battery life was at 76% out of the box (hmmm). The battery went completely dead on Monday and when I plug it into my computer light will flash red and then turn white (kind of). Now it doesn't work at all. It won't sync to my phone and the lights don't come on. I thought it was a battery issue, but left mine plugged in all night. Lights work when plugged into USB for charging, but button does not. This is so sad because I loved my UP and I have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions from this forum (twisting, restarting phone, update app, etc.). I just want it to work. I don't have time to try to make it work. Hopefully I can return mine to the store today. I will get another one. What are the odds that my second one won't work?

My UP is working correctly & I still have my packing material in case I encounter a brick situation.
This may be isolated incidents, else this thread would have overwhelming activity.

This is exactly what has happened to mine, I am so disappointed. Bought Saturday AM at Apple, worked fine until this AM when I went to move it out of sleep mode and no response from button. Same result as you got when plugged into USB. I don't have time to take it back this week.

10:21am the next day and I have yet to hear from Jawbone about my replacement. Starting to get a little bit frustrated about not hearing anything and having a $100 bracelet on my arm. Called again today and they said they are still waiting for the "managers" to contact me to process the return. Felt good about the service yesterday but as hours pass my patience does as well.
