My UP is dead??!!

After 2 days of using my UP, I think it is dead.

Last night before I went to bed I charged UP 100%, and put it in sleep mode to monitoring my sleep pattern.  This morning I checked it it was dead..no light, no vibration after I push button to wake up mode. I scratched my head and felt something went wrong about this device.  I plugged UP in my iPhone but no response. I charged around 30 minutes to see something would happen (of course, it gave me red flashing light while charging), and plugged it in my iPhone again, and tried to sync.  It synced well this time and showed me that UP is 45% charged.  I charged more after sync and went to workout (of course, I put my UP to workout mode).  After 4 hours later I pushed button for returning to normal mode...it dead..completely dead; no light, no vibration. I tried to charge it, but this time it only gave me white flashing light... I think it doesn't charge nor holding. I guess I have to return for replace or wait until Jawbone fixed the root cause of this problem?

I have the same problem....It worked for 3 days now it just flashes lights and NO vibration when press the button and battery only last about 30 min now!!!!!!!!!!! 

Anybody having this problem? Anyone know if this is a software fix or hardware issue????

Going to return mine tomorrow for new one. hopefullyit works cause the idea is great but it has sooooo many issues right now that its frustrating to use!!!!!!!

Jawbone, please address asap before you lose your following.....please......

I decided to charge my battery because for some reason it won't hold any of my data anymore and its at 30% battery. When I plug it in with the USB and decide to charge it, it holds a steady white light.

 

Upon disconnecting it from the charger, I synced it with my phone and it states I have 0%. What is wrong with this picture!?!?! First you forget all my data, and now when I charge you, instead your battery is drained to 0%.

 

Definitely going to be returning mine tomorrow because this is all screwed up. Jawbone, I really hope you have a fix for this. Everything was fine until the battery went dead on me.

ugggg, I have to add myself to this list...

 

Bought mine Sunday, it was fully charged coming out of the box...  last night it was at 33% after syncing it  last night (which was pretty good i thought)

 

Put it into sleep mode before going to bed.... this morning I wasn't waken up by it vibrating (good thing I hadn't been depending it on it to wake me up), it was completely dead.....

 

Now when i plug it into the charger it lights up for a few seconds, then goes dead and doesn't come back to do anything unless i reset it....

So i synced last night and it was at around 30%, the band woke me up fine and i got into the shower. After i got out i turned sleep mode off and by the time i got to work  (an hour later) i guess the band was dead.. No lights no nothing... i really hope i dont run into more issues now.. I fully charged this on monday night and by friday its dead?!?!!? whats the deal, thought this thing had a 10 day battery life?

I'm having a similar issue, I've bought mine on Sunday and when I plugged it in to sync, it says 100%. Thursday when I plugged it in it says 8%, went to work and I noticed it was dead. Plugged it in to charge when I got home, and took a shower. Came back and try to turn it on, but it wont turn on. I plugged it in to sync but got an error. Plugged it in my laptop and leave it over night, and still it won't turn on. The lights flashes then stay on pink.

After several great days with my UP, it was dead this morning (see details under "Battery" post). Exchanged it this morning - noticed button doesn't stick out as far on my new up, and there is much less play when pushing the button. I am hoping this is a good sign!
Had to return my first Nook Color too - bad power switch. *shrugs* The joys of the early-adopter!
Absolutely love the UP though!!

Mine had regressed to the point where it is completely dead now..... it won't even reset with the hold-button-as-pluggin-into-USB method anymore.....  nothing, nada, zip

Figures... I just checked the three local Best Buy's and they don't have any in stock according to their website....  so much for exchanging it

Mine also.

Purchased mine last Sunday.  It worked through Monday evening.  Then completely unresponsive.  Returned it to the Apple store in DC on Tues pm.  Activated the replacement in the store, but it would not complete the registration past about 80%.  Got a second replacement unit, and it registered normally.  The new unit had a charge of about 75%.  Worked fine until yesterday evening.  I synced it, and everything was normal.  When I went to set it to sleep mode prior to sleeping, it showed a multicolumn light, and would not go into sleep mode.  Then became completely unresponsive.

 

I'll return it, but I think I've about had it.  I want this device to work, but may just need to wait until version 2.  After the hassle with the initial unit breaking I ordered a fitbit and was planning to test them side by side for a week to see which I like better.  But the Up hasn't lasted a week yet! 

 

I've emailed tech support, and not response after 2 days.

I'm in the same boat as well.

 

I purchased my UP on Monday and have charged it every night.

 

Last night, my UP vibrated 2 times out of the blue. I went to plug it into my computer to charge it and as soon as I did, it was displaying rainbow colors and then turned to the pulsing red. After about 30 mins I unplugged to sync and it had zero life. I thought maybe I hadn't left it in my computer to charge long enough so I plugged it back in. This second time plugging it in, it only displayed the pulsing red color. I left my UP plugged into my computer all night only to wake up this morning to it being completely lifeless. I've tried unplugging, plugging into my phone to sync, pressing the button, plugging back into my computer, pressing the button while it's plugged into the computer and holding.... NOTHING. 

 

I'm so extremely disappointed because I really enjoyed the concept of the UP and was looking forward to more upgrades to come. I've NEVER owned a product that had such a problem so quickly and one that was apparently an EXTREMELY common problem.

 

Jawbone, this needs to be addressed and fixed IMMEDIATELY. I went to SIX, yes, SIX, different locations to buy this thing. I understand that $100 for a product of this caliber is considered inexpensive but I'm sorry, I am not an individual that has $100 laying around to waste on a ill product. I budgeted in order to afford this and now I sure feel like an idiot.
