Pushing both button at same time

This may seem odd but on my new Jawbone it is seemingly difficult or impossible to push both the button as one seems to lock-out the other.  Pushing them both is required to force pairing mode in order to pair a second device.  I finally got it done but it there some trick to it?

Do you have any tips on this? I have been trying for two days to get my Jawbone 2 into pairing mode and can not make it happen.

put it on the table so you have two hands to push the two buttons
