Very satisfied

I had a problem with my jawbone 2, it just died.  Scott was very helpful in getting me a replacement.  Thanks so much.

Disatisfied Customer Experience

I wont buy another.

I have a 6 months old Jawbone II that will not enter pairing mode, apparently because of a mechanical problem with the Noise Assassin/Volume control button.  This was an in-store replacement for a Jawbone I which failed after 9 months, so it is out of warranty.  After several minutes on hold, I talked to somebody at Jawbone customer service who talked me through how to enter pairing mode. When they gave up, they offered to let be purchase a new current model for $75.00.

This follows my experience with my first Jawbone which I purchased in May 2007, and which failed to take a charge after about ten months, and because I could not afford to be without one, I bought a new Jawbone I instead of sending it in for a warranty claim. The new one had several design detail differences from the earlier Jawbone I.

I understand that under the terms of the warranty, Jawbone owes me nothing. But three failures in 27 months is too many.  Based on the fact that there are many similar complaints posted on the web, I suspect their failure rates are pretty high.  High-quality sound does not make up for other quality issues.

Further, my experience with Jawbone's replacement policy is in stark contrast with my experience with another portable electronics accessory product. About three years ago I contacted Sennheiser about repairing my three+ year old noise cancelling head phones. To my delight, they sent me a brand new replacement at no charge.
