iphone 3gs voice command

the voice command feature on my new iphone 3gs does not work...will jawbone look at a software mode to support the new feature of the 3gs

This is actually due to the way Apple designed the original software on the 3GS.  VoiceControl was not activated with the Bluetooth VoiceCommand function in Bluetooth, however this feature was enabled with the OS version 3.1  If you are having trouble with your VoiceCommand, make sure you have updated your iPhone software.

Hi, I can confirm that iphone os 3.1 beta 2 does indeed work from bluetooth headsets. I use a motorola h15, it works perfectly by using the main button and saying who you want to call. The jawbone prime on the other hand does not work in this way, you can only talk, no commands can be issued.

I don't know where spineytoad gets his/her information, but according to both ATT and Apple, the iPhone voice command does not currently work with any bluetooth device.  There are some apps that claim to create this ability, but I have not tried any of those.

Hello, with 3GS running OS 3.1, press the second button for about 1.5 seconds, voice control will come up.

Yes Voice Control now works with my Prime...the whole experience is somewhat inconsistent.  Don't know if that's due to Voice Control, the Prime or both.  Holding the Noise Assassin button to activate Voice Control doesn't always work or pressing it 3 times for the last dialed number.  This operation worked much smoother with the Tilt phone that used the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and Voice Command.

I hope they eventually expand Voice Control's capabilities.  I miss Voice Command and its ability to notify you with urgent emails, upcoming appointments/reminders etc.
