Re: very disappointed!

Ditto...

My problem is that I have a beard so regardless of how well the device fits in my ear the little sensor nub never actually makes adequate contact with my face.

I was unable to return the item for a refund and was NOT happy with the customer service.

Mark me as "Very Disappointed" too.

Re: very disappointed!

I bougth the new one and had to return it.  It is so short it would not rest on my cheek.  If it doesn't rest on the cheek it will cut out.  I could hear perfectly, but everyone complained they had trouble with hearing me.:smileymad:

Problem I have is that the earhook breaks off - it is very weak.  Any solutions?

Re: very disappointed!

I purchased a custom earpiece from Pilotstuff.com, and the fit is so secure that I can run without any problems at all.  I absolutely love the jawbone, and find that it does an admirable job of noise cancellation.  As an engineer, I would like it to do a better job, especially with wind noise, although it is much better than the first generation product.

Re: very disappointed!

One hopes that folks apply some critical thinking skills and not extrapolate the anecdotal globally. Else, how would this firm stay in business at all? At the minimum, at least give tech support a shot.

I've purchased many headsets from Motorola, Callpod, Jawbone, etc. and none are perfect and all have their flaws. That said, my current Jawbone Prime is the best I've experienced to date. No doubt YMMV!

Very Disappointed!

How can people keep buying Jawbones given the overall hype for such a poor product?  I was gullible enough to purchase two Jawbone 1's, thinking that I just had a bad one.  The design is so fragile that the power adapter being disconnected damaged the unit and there was a circuit board exposed.  Then the ear piece had to be super glued back on.  All the while, the static was horrible.

Purchased another one, even more gullible, I am embrassaed and its sound quaility and static issues were the same.  Overall, Its an abject dissappointment for the money.  Its not even cool ear jewlery since people know that Jawbones are bunk and people keep complaining about the static.  So now it back to the hardwired $10 earbuds.

Using Lawrence Livermore's name is a disfavor to DOE and technology transfer if this is the junk that comes from it.

I have a blackberry storm.  Have you had a lot of complaints from Blackberry users?

Very diappointed

The jawbone was a complete let down, im here telling all my friends how I got a good discount on one of the best products the store sells (BestBuy), just to have some crap that does fit your ear. I tried getting the better fitting ear pieces that come seperatley from jawbone to retails store but the fit still sucks.   And if you dont get a good fit snuggly againts your Jaw which is impossible it doesnt work.

Horrible waste of $89.99, my motorola ear piece for $45.00 worked four times better because it fit right. Even though the voice quality wasnt the best. Until jawbone can fix that issue then the product will fail.

Re: very disappointed!

I've been struggling to get the new Jawbone to work properly ever since it was first released, and have been utterly UNsuccessful. Sure, we have to do our best to keep the little white tab pressed against our jaws, which for me has meant constantly adjusting the fit as I'm talking. There is NO WAY to get the tab to stay in proper position! I thought I was upgrading when I paid another $130 to replace my first Jawbone, but I don't believe there is any significant difference between the old and the new products. So let's see if Jawbone management responds to the overwhelmingly negative posts on the new forum.

Re: very disappointed!

These comments were really interesting....for me the experience was quite the opposite.  I had gone through motorola, blueant, plantronics, etc headsets and they all sounded bad, broke or just didnlt deliver. When the 1st gen came out I was an early adpoter as well and had nothing but great luck. I use mine on a HTC- TYTN II phone.

I have the 1st and 2nd gen sets and  had good luck after multiple drops, etc.  Clarity has been excellent and also delivered flawlessly on the background noise cancelling having specifically tested this more than a few times.

The only complaint I had with the 2nd generation was the earloop.  It never felt right and didn't feel secure, nor proovided proper fit.  However, the 1st gen loop seems to fit the 2nd gen design so I've been using and I think the fit is better.
