Jawbone Prime won't pair and blinking red every second

I recently started having issues where my Jawbone Prime will do everything except for hang up calls.  Same problem as this topic: http://forums.jawbone.com/t5/Troubleshooting-Tips/Jawbone-Prime-won-t-hang-up-calls/td-p/1041

I tried unpairing and repairing with my phone, but I can't get into pairing mode.  I've tried holding the Noise Assassin button and Talk buttons simultaneously after turning the headset off, but that does not seem to work.  (I've tried it many times.)  I cannot get it to alternate white and red.

After that, I tried resetting the headset by holding down talk, connecting to the charger, and releasing once I get a solid red LED.  That didn't seem to make any difference.

Now, when I turn it on the red LED blinks every second.  I checked the following topic for that LED signal, but it's not listed in the table.

Any ideas?

Re: Jawbone Prime won't pair and blinking red every second

You may want to do a hard reset, as it will automatically put your PRIME into pairing mode, and may solve your problems.  If it does not, please give us a call! 1-800-JAWBONE

Hard Reset:

While the headset is blinking red, press Noise Assassin button, Talk butoon, Talk button, Noise Assassin, Talk, Talk.

Hope that helps!

Hard reset did the trick.  Did I miss that in the documentation somewhere?

So glad to hear it fixed your problem.  And no, you didnt miss any documentation on that, the hard reset is part of our troubleshooting arsenal, but not published anywhere on the packaging! Thanks for writing in, and I am glad we could help!

Re: Jawbone Prime won't pair and blinking red every second

Our office has two of these Jawbone handsets .. They were driving me mad... I spent lots and lots of time trying to get them to pair... Hard reset was the only thing that worked, but that worked perfectly !

Since this clearly seems to be a very common issue..

Why don't you update the user manual so that it includes the hard reset function?

That is a good suggestion, and something we will consider.  Thanks for sharing!

Re: Jawbone Prime won't pair and blinking red every second

When is the exact moment that I can do a hard reset?

Can I do a hard reset when my phone is blinking red every 8 secs?

The problem that I have encountered is when I paired my Prime with Nokia E66, the bluetooth link only maintain for like 3-5 secs, then the connection is lost where my Prime blinks red every 8 secs.

I then have to pair it over and over again until eventually get a stable connection (once it's stable, it's ok), which is so annoying as it usually takes more than 5 mins, and often I have to turn my Prime on and off many times.

For your information, this only starts to happen since 3 weeks ago.

I have tried to do a soft reset by holding down talk, connecting to the charger, and releasing once I get a solid red, but no difference. Will hard reset helps?
