Totally Dead Jawbone Prime - Tried Reset

I have done a lot of searching and read a lot of product reviews before i decided to buy the Jawbone Prime

However there is no official reseller in Australia, so I decide to purchase it through Ebay even I gotta pay another $50 for shipping. Just because I believe the Jawbone worth so.

Firstly, impressed with the packaging and love the various buds provided

Then disappointed of the noise cancellation function not working as good as youtube shown.....

Most importantly, can't use it for playing music in iphone

Finally the Jawbone just went DEAD somehow....No LED....NO Sound......NO Responding.....

Tried connect with computer / powerpoint.......

Tried leave it disconnected for a few days before recharging.........

Tried the reset method (holding talk button->connect with cable->release button->disconnect cable)

I checked the warranty terms, don't think Australia is included

Can anyone tell me what else I can do before throwing it into bins =.=

Re: Totally Dead Jawbone Prime - Tried Reset

I'm afraid this isn't such a unique problem.  I had bought my husband the original Jawbone 3 yrs ago and he LOVED it, however, the earloops kept breaking on the dang thing and we could no longer order new ones through Jawbone.  A few days ago, my husband broke down and bought himself the new Jawbone Prime and was very happy with it until this afternoon it went completely DEAD!  No lights, NOTHING.  Dead as a doornail.  It had been charged ALL NIGHT.  This is after only a few days.....I've came to the website hoping I could find a fix for this problem to no avail...  Sorely disappointed.  :-(

Re: Totally Dead Jawbone Prime - Tried Reset

What a shame :smileysad: I've been all over the net looking how to fix this same exact problem. I LOVED how clear this bluetooth was and I've tried a ton. Great product! My mom, husband and brother were going to get one too! lol They love not hearing clicking or anything and its clear for them when they talk to me! lol but I've only had it a few months and it did the same thing to me! I've looked all over and can't find my reciept, so I'm screwed :smileysad: What a shame this is a problem that is happening a lot. Did anyone find a solution, besides getting another one? Thanks :smileyhappy: Michele

Totally Dead Jawbone Prime - Tried Reset

I've had mine for 6 months - recently, it quit charging... have been all over the internet looking for solutions.  Tried reset...  It is DEAD.

There are no lights at anytime that come on.  For the past 2 months the charger has been acting up, I had to wiggle it just right in order to get a connection.  Very poor design I believe.

Jawbone itself is an awesone unit - if you can get it charged that is.  HELP!

Re: Totally Dead Jawbone Prime - Tried Reset

I am facing the exact same problem as the initiator of this topic. My researching had led me to consider purchasing the Jawbone Prime, and as there is no official reseller in Malaysia, I decided to buy the Jawbone Prime through Amazon and had it sent to a service company in the US that could send it to Malaysia at an additional shipping cost. After a month of waiting, I finally received the Prime. However, my joy was shortlived as it was totally dead out of the box! I tried charging using the USB cable connected to a computer but there was not red charging light whatsoever. The I plugged it into a wall socket with no success either. The unit is not responding at all! The reset method also failed. Since I had put a lot of effort into purchasing it from the US and have it sent all the way to Malaysia, I am thoroughly disappointed. I do hope Jawbone can help me with this predicament as I was very eager to begin my Jawbone experience.

I am in Malaysia and I am unable to call a US toll free number. Please provide an alternative means of communication. I can also be contacted via my email.
